What does the beach have to offer?

The beach of Oostkapelle is very suitable for a versatile day out. Of course, it is a lovely place for sun bathing and swimming but if you are a bit more active then you will certainly not be disappointed. Surfing, horse riding and kite flying are only a few examples of the options. The beach is rewarded with a Blue Flag. That means that children can play safely here.

For some pleasant atmosphere you have to go to the Dorpsstraat. The terraces invite you to relax and have a delicious meal or a refreshing drink. There is a relaxed atmosphere that makes you think of old times. Chances are you will even see the traditional costumes.

Among other things, there is a beautiful salt water aquarium. The Fossielenmuseum (Museum of Fossils) holds a large amount of prehistoric animals.

A little bit further

Grab your bicycle and explore the beautiful coast of Walcheren. Through beautiful paths you pass by the lighthouses of Westkapelle. In this town there is an old church with a light on the tower, at the beach you will find a beautiful small lighthouse. The old church in the centre can be visited inside.
